Empenada’s Place is a cute little (CASH ONLY) Argentinian pastry shop located on a dumpy section of Venice and Sawtelle.

I love any kind of meat pie, no matter the nationality. EP does not disappoint.

My favorite was the Cheese and Onion but I also liked the Criolla, which is the traditional beef and raisin one.

The pies ore on the bigger side, so two should be plenty. The hot sauce they give you is watery and not very flavorful. Take note.

For dessert, they offer a few lightly sweet pastries that are delicious. You’ll probably be full from lunch, but try at least one.
