Hoy-Ka just recently moved from it’s former Los Feliz location to the prior home of an Asian sports bar almost in Thai Town.
Parking is non-existent. We magically found a spot behind the restaurant and I was certain our car would not still be there when we left.
The food here is fantastic! Take note! I didn’t require any chili paste, both the Green Curry and the Drunken Noodles were perfectly spicy and flavorful. So freaking good, folks. Don’t make me say it again.
Even though I really loved everything, my favorite dish of the night had to be the Hoy-Ka Noodle Soup. So good! Had a very unique sweet and sour flavor.
God knows what random objects were tossed in to make that wonderful flavor….
The place still looks like a slightly upscale sports bar except there are no sports. And no booze of any kind.
Come here to grub and go. And don’t forget to order a Thai Tea Shortcake for dessert, they’re pretty tasty. The owner came over and told us she made them herself so we felt obliged/pressured but thankfully it was so worth it!
