Here’s a few notes on Sky’s Tacos.
It’s a tiny, dumpy taco restaurant (5-6 tables crammed next to each other). Don’t come here on a date, unless you wish to break up with that person that very night. In that case, you’re in the right place.
There is zero ambiance here. The walls are mostly barren. The lighting is harsh. Like I previously mentioned, great breakup spot. Many people were stopping in to pick up tacos to-go. These are folks in healthy relationships.
Thankfully, these tacos are terrific! Especially, the carnitas. The beef was juicy and KB really enjoyed his shrimp taco as well. The fish taco wasn’t the best I’ve had but it wasn’t the worst either. Quesadillas were also quite flavorful.
The tortillas seem to be fried on the same griddle as the meat and as a result, they have a nice beefy sear to them. This may not appeal to some, I’m guessing vegetarians.
The prices are about a dollar above your typical taco joint but the quality of the food warrants it.
If you have to have one last meal as a couple, Sky’s wouldn’t be your worst choice. Be sure to ask for extra napkins for the tacos and the tears.
