Pizzanista! is a must if you live downtown or on the eastside. It’s a really great NY thin crust slice.

I’m a big fan of crispiness when it comes to my pizza, so this place looses points for not being crispier. However, there’s a time and place for a huge ass slice of the kind of pizza you could fold a half dozen times so it could fit in your pocket.

Definitely hipster territory, you will order from the Ellen Paige cashier and then find a place to sit while the tattooed guy in back tosses his pizza dough in the air.

Located in the very trendy yet slightly-dodgy-at-night Arts District, you will find yourself on a street that appears to be an abandoned post-apocalyptic movie set filled with empty warehouses and zero foot traffic but smack in the middle will be Pizzanista! and equally hip Tony’s Saloon right next door.

You can eat your slice(s) at the bar if there’s no seating at the restaurant (it’s definitely on the small side).

Then you’ll wonder where to go to next since the street is pretty deserted and you’ll wish you hadn’t drank so much because you’re not entirely sure you can take on more than one Zombie in your inebriated state.
