Bru’s Counter is an upscale fast casual lunch spot in Century City that I’m guessing has a good year before it shuts down before anyone knew it was even there.
Awe, let us preemptively give a moment of silence for poor Bru.
Ebru Fidan Caplan also owns the successful “Bru’s Wiffle” a waffle joint in Santa Monica, so don’t feel bad for her. She has something to fall back on. Like a warm, soft waffle.
Bru’s Counter is a green establishment offering local produce, free range, hormone free and grass fed meats.
And you’re going to pay for it.
My Pinwheel Burger and Beet/Carrot/Ginger juice was about $20 bucks.
But both were very delicious.
The burger comes divided up into the tortilla of your choice, surrounding a very tasty pile of kale cabbage slaw (in a Stonehenge kind of way) and topped with a single risotto ball. There is a lot of parsley included in the tortilla, in case you hate the stuff.
Chesty Morgan’s Fried Chicken Sandwich was simple and excellent. Plenty of tasty breast meat and the bread was nice and soft par baked baguette. Be sure to ask for a side of the chipotle sauce to dip pretty much everything in.
Not sure why I bothered describing a bunch of food you won’t be able to eat since this place will be closed by the time this entry posts, but what else am I going to do with my life? Watch reruns of Gossip Girl on Netflix?
No, I will not….watch more than the first two seasons.
