Come to Pace for two reasons.

The Pizza. The Cedar Plank Salmon. And the romantic ambiance.

Ok, that’s three.

This place is really cute, I’m hard pressed to find better words to describe it. The place is a kind of a hodge podge of sections, each with a different vibe. It’s like walking into a house that someone kept adding on to.

It’s sort of a Winchester Mystery Restaurant, if you will.

I’ve eaten here twice before, both times I dined with semi-famous people who caused everyone to stare but not know who the hell they were.

Parking is valet only unless you’re really cheap like me and find parking along the treacherous stretch of Laurel Canyon a mere inches away from cars whizzing by you.

We sat on the covered patio, which doesn’t really have a view, thanks to the protective X-Ray curtain that encompasses the entire section. It’s still my favorite place to sit.

The salmon is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s devoid of any fishiness and comes with two sides of your choosing. The roasted root vegetables were delightful (sorry, I had no choice with that word either) and the kale made me not feel so bad for eating the pizza.

The Pizzas are all named after Greek gods and we chose Zeus (all meat). They come in a rectangular flatbread style but the crust is on the thicker side. They’re really tasty and comforting if you’re hungry. Which is one of the reasons one comes to a restaurant, so let’s move on.

Pace is the perfectly Valentine’s Day spot for the Laurel Canyon hippy who has a little extra money in his organic, hemp pocket.
