DUMPLING WEEK!
Dean Sin World was our final dumpling restaurant of the day. We only came here because Mama Lu’s had closed.
This was also our least favorite. In fact, some of the food was downright unsettling.
First, it was hot as hades in this little bakery (and only four tables).
Second, it tasted like everything had sat out all day and then had been reheated just for our dining pleasure.
The entire time we were there, I spied a tray of meat filled pastries just sitting out, minding it’s own unrefrigerated business.
I know that empanadas often sit out, but for some reason, I pictured all the food in this joint just hanging out at danger zone temperatures. Smoking and playing cards.
The Xiao Long Bao had an odd taste going on, I didn’t care for them.
The Pan Fried Pork Buns were nice, those I enjoyed.
I had a bathroom emergency when I got home later, so I can’t be sure which of the three dumpling places we visited today was the culprit. But I like to think it was all Dean Sin World’s fault.
Buy a refrigerator! If only, to keep the door open to cool down the joint. Sheesh!
