One of Koreatown’s more fun establishments is the quirkily named dive bar and sorta restaurant, Toebang.
The tables are sticky, the bathrooms are a disaster and it can get packed in there. But you don’t come for all that noise.
You come for the BEER TOWERS and CORN CHEESE!
There’s just something about a tower of iced beer that says “Vacation in Seoul”.
Especially once you get to your 3rd one (which we did). Don’t scoff, it doesn’t hold as much as you’d think and we were a thirsty group!
The Corn Cheese is a simple skillet of buttery canned corn topped with melted cheddar. That’s it. While I was dreaming of diced jalapenos, I was still loving this dish. A must order.
Since we had just come from a large seafood lunch, we only nibbled on a few skewers.
The BBQ rib skewers were incredible! So tender and moist and well sauced. Another must order.
Especially if you’re on that Paleo diet bullsh*t.
But if that’s the case, you won’t be having the corn or beer, so there’ll be no need to come here, at all. Just go home and nibble on your jerky and almonds, you freak.
