Lamb Frankie

Lamb Frankie

We came to Bombay Cafe for one of Sonigram’s last Indian meals in LA before heading off to the Grande Manzana.

I don’t know what this place is known for, but we today enjoyed a South Indian feast.

We enjoyed several items that reminded me of an Indian Burrito.

My favorite dish was the spicy Lamb Frankie. The lamb meat was perfectly spiced and saucy tucked snug in a slightly oily whole wheat wrap.

The Masala Dosa (a light, airy crepe filled with spiced potatoes) was nice for sharing but I wouldn’t make it anyone’s main dish.

The Pani Puri are a acquired taste, which I happily shall never acquire. They are these odd little hollow shells filled with mostly raw mung beans that you pour this weird green liquid inside. Not recommended unless you grew up with the stuff.

The Chicken Curry was A solid dish but slightly more work than I was in the mood for, picking my meat off the bone whilst hiding under a sea of sauce.
