Last weekend, Grace Slick and I went on a little road trip up north to visit our friend Nancy (of Sid and Nancy fame) to see her new digs and eat some good NorCal grub!
Since it is October and we are nearing Halloween, Nancy had decorated her apartment accordingly and we enjoyed a spooky punch with a large ice cube shaped as a hand, keeping the concoction cold.
For dinners, Nancy mostly cooked for us at her cute home in Petaluma but we enjoyed brunch and lunch around Sonoma County quite often and I thought I would share with you what you can expect to nosh on if you’re ever in the area.
This is a really cute and quaint town with some amazing restaurants. That’s what happens when you live in close proximity to San Fran…great chefs get burned out and take their genius to the suburbs!

South A Scramble (served with toast) –
Local farm Eggs, bacon, cherry tomatoes, summer squash, jack cheese, onion, basil

Wilted Kale Salad –
blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, bacon, chopped egg, pugliese croutons, mustard vinaigrette

Diavola Pizza – Roasted Red Peppers, Provolone, Arugula & House Meatballs with pine nuts and raisins
For our last night in Petaluma, Kaisha made us an amazing dinner and a meat and cheese platter to die for!
