Honey’s Kettle started in Compton so it’s gotta be legit fried chicken, right?

Well piggies, it is!

It’s damn good, in fact.

So good, I went back the next day to get more.

My chicken sandwich was a little tough on the edges but the center meat was nice and tender. Loved the cole slaw. The bun could have been softer.

My friend’s chicken and blueberry hotcakes were fantastic. I want more!

I would suggest just ordering the basic fried chicken and a hotcake or two and you won’t be sorry.

The biscuits were tasty too, but they were more doughy than flakey. If you have to choose your carbs wisely, go HOTCAKE!

Oh, and the mashed potatoes were excellent too. Screw it, just make it your cheat day or pretend you’re carb loading for a marathon.
