Maple Eggs, crispy bacon

Little Fork kind of pissed me off right at the start when we arrived for our 8:30 reservation (after being told there weren’t any 8:00’s left) and only half the place was filled.

Either everyone cancelled at the last minute or LF wants to be known as the “IT” restaurant.

As much as I wanted to fall in love with Little Fork. I only liked IT…a Little.

It took a while for our waiter to greet us but once he did, we loved him. And the lady who brought out our food looked a little like (don’t hate me, lady) Casey Anthony. But a lot nicer! I’m sure you’ve not been accused of anything but being too nice!

The Maple Eggs were tasty but…just…weird! Bits of scrambled eggs sitting on maple cream just kind of creeped me out. I ate two of them, mind you. So they weren’t awful. Cute presentation, though!

I highly enjoyed anything containing smoked meats. This means I loved the poutine, the brisket and the maple ham. Top notch stuff.

The Clams Casino were ok but inconsistent. Sand was found in one. I didn’t try any, but this is what I was told.

The Sea Bass was a big disappointment. We were shown this gorgeous salt hot pocket that the fish was to be baked in and when it came back to us, it was just a somewhat bland, small piece of not so much.

I would suggest coming here for the great cocktails and a few smoked nibbles and try not to make Casey Anthony mad.

Why wasn't an 8:00 o'clock reservation available again?? Maybe the ghost seen in the center of the photo scared them away?
