This afternoon, us omnipresent food bloggers got treated to a food/cocktail tasting at The Corner Door in preparation for Planned Parenthood’s annual “Food Fare” event, coming to Santa Monica on March 7, 2013.
Chef Luke Reyes paired some smaller versions of Corner Door’s standout menu items with Mixologist Beau du Bois’ creative and potent poisons.
I had been to Corner Door before (located on a eastern stretch of Washington blvd) and it was good to see that none of the good things have changed!
The Corner Door is just one of the many participating restaurants and vendors in next month’s “Food Fare 2013”. Started 34 years ago by Julia Child, it has grown to become the oldest and most celebrated culinary event in Los Angeles.
“Food Fare 2013” is produced be the Planned Parenthood Guild, a group of nearly 200 women dedicated to providing financial and volunteer support for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.
Planned Parenthood provides preventative care – including life-saving cancer screenings, birth control and annual exams – to over 136,000 women, men and teens in Los Angeles every year.
If you’d like to show your support and have a blast sampling the finest food and drink that LA has to offer, then “Food Fare 2013” is the event not to miss!
Food Fare 2013 is on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at:

It was so great meeting you last week. Your photos are beautiful and a distinct reminder of why it’s important to show up prepared (me + measly iPhone = crud photos). Damn, yours look good.
Ha, great meeting you too! Your blog is awesome, btw!
