Ok, before I start this review, let me preface it with this: Everything on the menu is under 475 calories…
Have you clicked away yet?
If you look Seasons 52 up on Yelp, you’ll see some pretty horrific reviews of this healthy chain restaurant.
Sorry folks, there is just only so much one can expect from a meal with a calorie count similar to a few McDonald’s french fries.
The problem is these are meals many of us make at home when we’re trying to be healthy. They’re edible but they’re not adding the yummy, fattening crap that we expect from your typical restaurant.
Paying for sensibility seems like a waste.
For many of us, restaurants are special occasions. Times to treat ourselves.
We gladly fork over our dough to be fattened up.
Or we choose the other end of the spectrum and pay for the Vegan lifestyle.
The only thing is, god knows how many calories is in your Tofu Scramble!
Am I going to have wet dreams about a 475 calorie salad? Probably not.
But my Maui Tuna Crunch salad was a flavorful, sensible lunch.
My final thought? I’m not sure how well a restaurant with this “sensible” approach will do but I believe Seasons 52 does a fine job with every little calorie they can spare.
And hey! They gave us a sampler of all their desserts. The perks of being Bun Boy.
