I have one tiny problem with Red Hill.
The food is bad.
That’s all.
Otherwise, hat’s off!
The better of the bad dishes was the cauliflower and the agnolotti with goat cheese. They were both kind of tasty but not very inspired.
Everything else was either bland (burrata with asparagus), overcooked (salmon with pea tendrils) or both (the lomo flatbread).
Actually, that flatbread was downright awful!
The meat was hard and dry. The crust was flavorless with notes of paper bag and dishwater.
I barely finished my bite.
I recall the waitress telling me the dish was taken off the menu cuz no one was ordering it. I can see why now!!
I won’t go on and on. This Echo Park hangout is a perfect spot for a beer and a smoke. And if that cigarette should happen to burn the whole place down….well…it might be for the best.
It certainly wouldn’t change the taste of the food.
